President's Message

Dear members of the IMA - Cleveland East Chapter,

I hope this message finds you all in good health and high spirits as we embark on the first quarter of 2024. As we enter a new year, I am filled with gratitude for the dedication and commitment each one of you has shown towards our chapter's growth and success.

Looking ahead, I am confident that the first quarter of 2024 will bring new opportunities for us to continue our journey towards excellence. Our chapter's mission remains unchanged - to provide a platform for professional development, networking, and knowledge sharing in the field of management accounting.

In the coming months, we will focus on organizing a series of engaging events, workshops, and seminars that cater to the evolving needs of our members. These initiatives will not only enhance your skills and knowledge but also foster a sense of camaraderie and collaboration within our community.

Our 2024-chapter event line-up so far includes:

·        February 19th  - (In-Person) - “2024 Economic Update

Please save the following dates for our Spring workshop series facilitated by our own chapter board member: Gaby Lahoud, CFA, CMA, PMP, CSCA, MBA; Co-Founder and CEO at B Certified Pro LLC

·         February 20th – (Virtual) - “Financial Analysis Using Excel Workshop

·         March 20th  - (Virtual) - “Budgeting and Forecasting using Excel Workshop

·         April 18th - (Virtual)Feasibility Studies Application and Modeling Workshop“

Additionally, we will continue to strengthen our partnerships with local businesses, educational institutions, and other professional organizations. By forging these alliances, we can create a robust ecosystem that supports the growth and advancement of management accounting professionals in our region.

I encourage each one of you to actively participate in our chapter's activities, share your expertise, and engage with fellow members. Your contributions are invaluable in shaping the future of our profession and ensuring our chapter remains at the forefront of the industry.

Lastly, I would like to express my gratitude to the dedicated board members who have volunteered their time and energy to serve our chapter. Your commitment and passion are instrumental in driving our success, and I am honored to work alongside such talented individuals.

As we embark on this new quarter, let us embrace the opportunities that lie ahead with enthusiasm and determination. Together, we can achieve great things and continue to elevate the profession of management accounting.
