Session 2—“The Managerial Accountant as a Strategic Business Partner”
Speaker: Jeff Davis - Senior VP Finance/Chief Financial Officer, Presbyterian Senior Living
This session will cover the importance and benefit of accounting professionals in the development and implementation of business strategy.
Evaluation: Of business units, product lines, and the product environment.
Education: We cannot assume that business leaders with diverse backgrounds can understand our evaluative work. We often communicate in different business languages. Accounting and finance professional can play a key role in education of leaders as to what strategic alternatives may be best for the organization.
Execution: Accounting and finance professionals have a unique set of skills which often can greatly enhance the execution of strategic plans once developed.
